Marketed as the world’s smartest tape measure the Bagel has this week launched via Kickstarter already raising over $90,000 thanks to over 947 backers with still 33 days left remaining on the campaign.

Designed by Bagel Labs based in Newport Beach California the smart tape is also capable of capturing voice memos and has a one click save feature that records your measurements and recordings to a handy SD card. The developers of Bagel explain the little more about its features and inspiration.

You can also choose to add a voice memo that describes what you measured. As soon as you connect Bagel to its mobile app, this voice recording will be automatically converted into text and tagged to your measurement.
